Electric VS Gas
Electric water heaters use electricity to heat, while gas water heaters use natural gas or propane for heating, generally offering faster heating times and lower operating costs.

This one was one that we were searching for because this one electric. It really heats up our water quickly and it was very easy to install with instructions. This one in particular is also digital which I believe is better because all the numbers are clear to see.
This is a really nice small compact water heater. I bought it for an RV, but it can be used in a small weekend/vacation cabin as well, or even in a guest house. It fits my needs perfectly, and has an excellent reheat time turnaround. Overall, I'm more impressed than I had expected to be when I bought this.
With Texas heat we set up a summer Kitchen in the garage. This Geesen 2.5 gallon hot water tank does the job. It heats up in less than 8 minutes. Had to turn it down a bit, as it heated water hotter than the whole house water heater. Best choice I could have made. Definitely recommend it to others.
The biggest challenge was the inlet and outlet water ports, which are made of plastic unlike other heaters I've installed in the past. On this unit, the hot water port had poorly formed threads from the factory, making it very difficult to screw on the hoses. I had to basically force it on and 'tap' the threads myself. This made me very nervous that it would leak. Overall it just felt flimsy, like if somebody accidentally bumps into it the plastic might crack and leak.
A tough made heater that performs real well for us. The perfct size for a smaller family or a smaller cabin/home. It was so easy for my husband to install that we did not need to hire a professional. We are also pleased with how quickly water heats up for our showers. Self explanatory dials and great capacity for its smaller size. Great wiring and tough tubing. Easily secured and a wonderful value worth the money for sure. Extremely simple to control the temperature. No trouble with leaking or accidental scalding.
It requires a small amount of set up, mounting to the holder for the shower head, the gas tap and the hoses to the machine.
It heats up quite quickly.
The pump functions as expected, and it has a good length of shower hose.
Built quality feels solid.
The downside is that the manual does not recommend using water from places such as the river and it also doesn’t recommend drinking the water that it dispenses.
I like having the different options for powering it.
Electric water heater: easy to install, need to be heated before use, the amount of hot water depends on the amount of water storage, high operating costs.
Instantaneous water heater: small size, no need to store water, can heat up quickly, suitable for small households or not much water consumption.Disadvantages: the water temperature may drop when the continuous water use time is long.
Gas water heater: fast heating, less hot water for simple washing, low operating costs, need gas piping and proper ventilation, pay attention to safety!
Please choose the right water heater according to your demand for hot water, operating costs, and space size.
You need to know what size water heater you need when installing a new system. For the kitchen, it is enough to install a mini water heater within 4 gallons for daily hand washing or washing dishes. The size can largely depend on the size of your household more than the size of your house. For the bathroom, If you have two or fewer people in your home, you should get a 20- to 30-gallon tank. If you have four people in your house, you will need a 36- to the 40-gallon unit. If you have five people, you need a 40 and more gallon tank. Ask our experts for help selecting the correct model. Consider when the hot water is used in the home, if multiple people are using the hot water at the same time, a larger tank may be needed.
Are you running out of hot water more quickly than you used to? There are several reasons why this might be happening. Some reasons can include:
You can avoid leaky kitchen faucets by making sure your water pressure is at the correct level, and that you install a water softener if you have hard water. You should also schedule regular maintenance visits with an expert. They will be able to determine if you need to replace your unit before it malfunctions.
To keep your water heater functioning properly, it’s essential to have it serviced at least once a year. Professionals can remove soot buildup and clean the system.
